Your love is an arrow--
it's fast and it's sure.
Your love is an arrow--
it flies and endures
the wind and the rain.
When it descends it's
for love's gain.
And when it's
body breaks
It sacrifices
the life it takes
whose life is
only the victim
of my choice to take
the life from within Him
whose life would be raised--
for Your love is an arrow,
though it's given to me
and pierces the heart, the arrow
was suffered purposefully.
Love is not painless
and love is not free.
But He, who was blameless,
suffered love for me.
(Thank You, Jesus, for suffering love for me. I never deserved a second of it...)
